A career in counselling psychology with varied and extensive experience

Nicole Marek holds a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She has experience with individual counselling since 2003. Credited among her experience is working with adults in an anxiety clinic providing therapy for anxiety disorders and depression, as well as working with youth as a guidance counsellor and psychologist in high schools.

As she believes in continued education, Nicole Marek regularly participates in workshops, supervision, training programs, and conferences to stay current in the latest evolutions in psychology. Some counsellor training she has undergone includes: anger management, self-injury, behaviour difficulties, sexual trauma, cognitive behavioural therapy, feminist therapy, and therapy with transgendered populations.
