A collaborative and flexible style to fit your needs

Nicole Marek believes that people seek therapy for a variety of reasons, be it self-awareness/understanding, difficulties within relationships, initiating change, or mental health symptoms such as anxiety or depression. In all cases, she will work collaboratively with you to help you reach your personal, relationship, and/or career goals.

Nicole Marek draws from a diverse range of approaches and philosophies individual therapy and couples counselling. Nicole Marek takes care to discuss your needs and adapts her counselling to your personal style.

The schools of thought she includes in her therapy practice are: cognitive-behavioural therapy, humanistic therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, mindfulness-based practice, psychodynamic therapy, and collaborative therapy.

With Nicole Marek's help you may work on reframing your thought patterns, changing maladaptive behaviours, exploring your emotions, finding solutions to current issues, working through events from your past, or softening self-criticism.

She may work with you on an individual level, or in couple therapy, depending on your presenting issues.
